MATE GREEN - IRTOLEHTITEE

Mate Green on yrttijuoma Etelä-Amerikasta, Argentiinasta. Juoma on tullut yhä suositummaksi ympäri maailmaa monien terveyshyötyjensä ja pitkän historiansa ansiosta.

Mate Green on hyvä valinta niille, jotka etsivät piristävää juomaa, sillä se sisältää kofeiinia ja paljon hyviä antioksidantteja. Mate on maanläheinen, hieman kitkerä maku. Juoma haudutetaan kuten tee.

Mate valmistetaan yerba matesta (ilex paraguariensis) ja sitä käytetään usein paastoruokavalion osana. Perinteisesti mate juodaan kurpitsasta tehdystä calabash-kupista ja metallisen pillin, bombillan, läpi.
