The brew is so smooth and mellow—almost buttery—and those tiny silver-tipped leaves unfurl beautifully in the cup. I steeped mine for three minutes and the flavor stayed delicate, not bitter at all. This is my new afternoon ritual.
The dry leaves smell sweet and clean, and they opened up beautifully in the second steep, still holding their shape and releasing a delicate, grassy sweetness that lingered for several cups. I can see why the high-altitude Fujian origin is prized — this is my new afternoon ritual.
First steep and the leaves are still so tender and downy, exactly like the "monkey pekoe" name promises. There's a gentle sweetness that lingers on the back of the tongue, which is rare for a white tea. The 40g bag won't last long at this quality.
